ImageKit Privacy Policy

How ImageKit handles accounts, images, ads, purchases and deletion requests.

1. Operator and scope

Ocean Code, operated by Jeon Haeseong, provides the ImageKit Android app. This policy covers ImageKit data handling. Support emails involve your email address, message and information needed to reply.

2. Accounts and service access

Firebase Authentication processes credentials when you sign in with email/password or Google. The app stores your user ID (UID), email, name, profile-photo URL when provided, sign-in provider, and creation/update timestamps in Firebase Firestore. Premium status and plan information support access checks. The app does not collect your Google account password directly.

3. Images and files on your device

The app processes photos, videos and PDFs you select or share, file names, sizes, formats, EXIF, settings and task history. EXIF may contain capture-location data. Standard editing, compression, conversion, OCR and redaction run on your device. Text and face positions are used to process the selected image, not to identify people. Presets, language settings, recent tasks and output files are stored locally.

4. AI features and image uploads

Starting AI upscaling or background removal may send the selected image, processing options and network connection information to external Spaces hosted on Hugging Face. Upscaling currently uses Nick088/Real-ESRGAN_Pytorch; background removal uses briaai/BRIA-RMBG-1.4. On-device background removal may run after a failed cloud request, so a local fallback does not mean no earlier upload occurred. External logs and temporary files follow the operators’ policies and settings; immediate deletion is not guaranteed. Do not use these features for images you do not want transmitted externally.

5. Analytics, diagnostics and ads

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may process usage events, device/app information, installation identifiers and crash diagnostics. Analytics is linked to the signed-in UID. Free use includes Google AdMob ads, requested as non-personalized. Non-personalized ads may still process IP addresses, device identifiers and ad interactions for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

6. Purchases and restoration

Google Play handles payment. RevenueCat processes user identifiers, purchase/transaction information and premium entitlements to verify purchases, restore access and update subscription status. The app does not directly store full payment-card numbers. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate; Google Play transaction records follow its retention policies.

7. Permissions and sharing

Photo, video or storage permissions are used to read selected files or save results. Revoke them in Android Settings; affected features may then be unavailable. Copying sends text to the system clipboard; sharing sends the chosen content to your selected app. Gallery exports, shared files and device/cloud backups follow the settings of the storage services you choose.

8. Retention, deletion and your rights

Remove local settings and history through available app controls or Android’s clear-app-data option. Delete gallery exports, shared files and backups separately. Account/profile data is retained while needed to provide your account. You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction using the contact below. Provider logs and backups follow their retention policies; information required by law is retained separately for that purpose. We explain required verification and any retention exceptions when handling your request.

9. Providers, international processing and changes

Google/Firebase supports authentication, profiles, analytics and diagnostics; Google AdMob serves ads; Google Play and RevenueCat support purchases; Hugging Face and the relevant Space operators process cloud images. Their infrastructure may process data outside your country. See the policies linked below. We update this page and its revision date when data handling changes.

Request account and data deletion

Email the contact below from the address used for your account and request deletion of your ImageKit account. After verifying ownership, we process deletion of the Firebase account and profile and requests to linked services, explaining any required retention. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. Uninstalling or signing out does not delete your server account. Cancel subscriptions separately in Google Play.
